Abstract
Devon Dorrity is a classically trained sculptor whose work weaves together a passion for history
and mythology with deep anatomical knowledge, digital innovation, and traditional
craftsmanship. With over a decade of experience sculpting the human form—both fantastical
and historical—he has exhibited in prestigious venues such as the Museum of American
Illustration in New York and has received top honors, including the Chesley Award for Best
Three-Dimensional Art. His bronze sculptures reflect a rigorous anatomical foundation, honed
through years of intensive study and private mentorship under Andrew Cawrse, an
internationally acclaimed sculptor, anatomist, and educator. Formerly the founder and CEO of a
successful software company, Dorrity now sculpts full-time, bringing precision, passion, and
technical excellence to every piece. Working fluidly between digital and traditional clay media,
he creates lifelike, expressive figures that celebrate the enduring legacy of both classical and
contemporary sculpture.
